FGSM Outdoors announced that it acquired Roboworm to add to its brand portfolio.
Roboworm, Inc., was founded in 1989 in Camarillo, CA, by Harvey and Greg Stump, father and son. At the time, GJ&H Company was known as Roboworm. The company invented robotic machine technology to pour worms in the traditional “hand-poured” method. The company evolved into the leading manufacturer of custom “poured” worms.
Harvey (shown in lead photo with his son Gregy) passed away on December 28, 2021 at the age of 93.
“I can’t explain how excited I am that GSM is adding Roboworm to our lineup,” said Bass Elite Series angler Robert Gee. “Roboworms have always been my safety net that I know I can go to any time fishing gets tough. They’ve bailed me out countless times and fished in countless ways. I can’t think of a day since I started fishing when I didn’t have a pack of Roboworms in the boat. And based on their track record, I can’t wait to see what GSM does to innovate and grow this awesome brand.”
“When you think of impactful soft plastic brands in the bass fishing space, you can’t have the conversation without talking about Roboworm,” said Crispin Powley, SVP of fishing for GSM. “Equally as iconic as the Senko from Yamamoto or the Rat-L-Trap from Bill Lewis, the straight-tail Roboworm has a place in every bass angler’s tacklebox. We consider ourselves fortunate to bring the Roboworm brand under our roof and aspire to add innovative designs and unparalleled distribution.”
