GSI Outdoors hired Justin Walford as EVP to GSI Outdoors and Pelican International and Tyler Botts as brand marketing manager to GSI.
Walford brings almost twenty years of outdoor industry experience to the position. He has built and led wholesale and direct-to-consumer teams and business units for brands, including G3 Genuine Guide Gear, MEC and Icebreaker Merino Clothing, where he was the VP and GM for North America through the acquisition of Icebreaker by VF Corp.
“We are excited to add Justin to the management team at GSI,” said GSI VP Don Scott. “He has a strong background in managing and developing companies in the outdoor industry which will help us in our next chapter of growth and success.”
With over 15 years working on a broad range of brands and consumer categories, both in-house and agency-side, Botts will focus on direct-to-consumer, e-commerce growth, introducing new customers to GSI’s expanding catalog of outdoor camping and cooking products.
