Gregory appointed Jim Boisd’Enghien as its sales director and opened a dedicated design center in Salt Lake City where all product development for North America will take place.

“Since Samsonite acquired Gregory in July 2014, we’ve made numerous significant changes to ensure that we continue to deliver the best fitting packs to our customers, says Dawn Sicco, Gregory’s general manager. “Jim’s hiring is the final piece in assembling the strongest team we’ve ever had here and our new design center demonstrates our commitment to developing the most advanced bags in the shadow of the Wasatch Mountains.”

Boisd’Enghien has 19 years experience in the outdoor industry, most recently as vice president of sales for Light & Motion Industries and NiteRider Technical Lighting Systems. He takes over as sales director at Gregory, a role that he also served from 2007-2011, when the brand was based in California.

“I have great respect for Gregory and how it has evolved over the years from Wayne Gregory’s original vision to the high-performance brand that it is today,” said Boisd’Enghien.

Gregory is also opening a 4,000-square-foot, custom-built design center and prototype lab, just south of Salt Lake City in the newly developed Holladay Village Square. Located in the heart of the Wasatch, with a stunning view of Mt. Olympus and just five minutes from Big and Little Cottonwood canyons, the space is the ideal location for Gregory’s design teams due to the combination of quick access to world-class mountains for backyard testing, as well as a vibrant community of outdoor enthusiasts.

Jim Boisd’Enghien will be on hand in Gregory booth #6027 in the Salt Palace Convention Center for Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2015 where the full line of Gregory’s Spring 2016 products will be on display. Gregory’s new design center will open in August 2015.
