Phoenix Footwear Group announced the appointment of Gregg Jackson to Vice President and Brand Manager of the Company's Trotters® footwear brand. Greg A. Tunney, President and Chief Operating Officer of Phoenix Footwear Group, commented, “Gregg Jackson is a significant addition to our management team, as his previous brand management experience at L.L. Bean and Airwalk will undoubtedly serve as an asset to our Company and to our Trotters® footwear line, the largest footwear brand in our portfolio. Gregg will oversee the positioning, sales, marketing and general management of our signature brand. Gregg Jackson has 19 years of product marketing and brand management experience in the footwear and apparel industry. Mr. Jackson was most recently the Director of Footwear for L.L. Bean, where he managed the company's footwear division, including its consumer brand management, catalog and Internet distribution. Under his management, footwear sales at L.L. Bean grew over 60% in the last two years alone. Prior to L.L. Bean, Mr. Jackson was the Brand Manager of the Active Casual division of Airwalk. During his three-year tenor, annual wholesale volume grew from $80 million in 1996, to just over $200 million in 1999. Mr. Jackson has also held product-marketing positions at adidas, Nike and Asics.
