Gramicci, as of Oct.1, 2010 moved to new offices located at: 28632 Roadside Drive, Suite 150, Agoura Hills, and CA 91301. With new personnel slated in marketing, design and customer service, and the launch of its USA dye and finish Gramicci “Replenishment Program GRP,” the new offices provide necessary added space for the growing company.

With a view of the Agoura Hills, the entire outer face of the building is flagstone and glass. The building is surrounded by deep-blanketed red fescue. The Gramicci design studio is lit by natural light provided by floor to ceiling windows looking out to the mountains. The building it is energy efficient in lighting and heating with automated controls for each section of the building as well as integrated recycling. The space is capable of expanding nearly double its current size should the company’s growth require it in the next year.

As part of its Start Somewhere program to assist in lessening the unemployment rate in California, Gramicci will begin dyeing and finishing a portion of its products in the United States. Gramicci introduced for spring ’11 its GRP Program – Gramicci Replenishment Program for its heritage G-Series products. This means dealers can buy a wider color selection, less units and replenish their stock quickly after seeing what sells best. This reduces their risk of having to buy too much inventory in uncertain economic times.

“12% of Gramicci’s pant, short and organic graphic tee shirt business will be dyed and finished here in the U.S. starting in November of this year. We have a program called Start Somewhere that was created to encourage and help people with finding ways to do something good. We have a big unemployment problem here in California and throughout the U.S. So we are starting somewhere and will continue to look for ways to help put people back to work here.” said Marty Weening President of Gramicci.

Gramicci continues its commitment to greener manufacturing. It is developing and adopting new standards of manufacturing that substantially reduce its impact on the environment using less water and energy. It has developed over 20 proprietary fabrics that are made of materials that are pesticide free, organic or blends of recycled and organic. All of the company’s organic products have received full certification from GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), OE Blended (Organic Exchange for blended fabrics) and OE 100 (Organic Exchange for all organic fabrics). Gramicci is also a fair labor manufacturer assuring fair wages, clean work environments and zero-tolerance child labor policies.

Gramicci’s new facility shows a dedication to long-term growth; allowing for an expanding staff, addition of new programs, and a drive towards local production.
