GoLite announced their enhanced alliance with W.L. Gore® with a new apparel line-up for Fall 2005 including numerous WINDSTOPPER® and GORE-TEX® pieces utilizing the hottest technologies available from W.L. Gore®.
GoLite is offering WindStopper® in several pieces, including the Aspire and Echo Jackets. Constructed of 3-layer WindStopper®, the Aspire features a unique offset watertight center front zip, stand up collar with fleece chin guard, a 5-panel ergonomic sleeve designed for maximum range of motion, two hand warmer pockets and a draw cord and cord lock at the hem for an adjustable fit, making it ideal for snowboarding, ice climbing, and back-and-front country skiing. The sleek, ultra-lite (8 ounces) Echo Jacket features 2-layer WindStopper® with full front zip, angled chest pocket, two hand warmer pockets, and a fixed hanging mesh vent. The Echo is designed for a wide range of adventures in cold and wind.
WINDSTOPPER® is a family of fabrics from W.L. Gore® combining durable, 100% wind protection, excellent water repellency, and high breathability to keep you warm and comfortable with fewer layers and little bulk. WindStopper® maintains body temperature by helping to create a thin layer of warm air next to the skin to prevent heat loss.
GORE-TEX® PacLite III is W.L. Gore®s most advanced PacLite laminate. A high carbon content coating protects the PTFE membrane from the inside against abrasion and contamination without feeling clammy on the skin. GoLite uses one of the lightest yet strongest of the available PacLite III laminates (2.6oz/yd², 88g/m²) in its ultra-lite Escape Jacket. GoLite is also introducing the Rage Jacket to its Breakaway cycling line. The lightest weight Gore-Tex® cycling jacket available thanks to an amazingly light-yet-durable 15 denier version of PacLite III, the Rage is a feather-lite jacket combining a full front zip with reflective piping, stand up collar with fleece chin guard, drop tail, 2 rear mesh core vents for increased airflow, and a self-stowing zippered rear pocket.
