Cloud Water Co., Ltd., Seoul, Korea, has been appointed exclusive distributor of GolfGear International, Inc. products in Korea, it was announced by Don Anderson, GolfGear founder and chief executive officer.
Anderson says, “We are delighted to have such an outstanding company as Cloud Water as our Korean distributor. Korea is a very important market for GolfGear, and we are confident that the acceptance of our products by Korean golfers will be outstanding.” Cloud Water is headed by Michael Kim, president and chief executive officer, who has vast experience in sales and marketing.
Kim plans to launch the GolfGear/Tsunami brand through elite distribution channels and “demo” days throughout Korea. Product shipments have begun, and an extensive advertising and marketing campaign already is under way.
Anderson founded GolfGear in 1989, invented insert technology and now has nine foreign and domestic patents relating to the process that uses forged-face inserts that are affixed into the cavity of investment-cast clubheads. The Tsunami drivers have a unique top dome “wave design” that structurally strengthens the entire club head. “This maximizes energy transfer to the hitting area, thus preventing energy loss in the head,” says Anderson.
“The result,” he states, “is greater distance and enhanced control. The Tsunami driver has the strongest head in golf, and the multi-patented double-forged, 10-2-3-face insert maximizes energy transfer to the ball…where it counts!”
