Golf DataTech reported that golf rounds played during December were up up 0.5 percent compared to December 2013.
Public access play was up 0.8 percent and private course activity was down 0.5 percent. There were 2885 contributing golf courses used in this report.
Among regions, gains were seen in New England, up 48.1 percent; Mid Atlantic, 36.8 percent; South Atlantic, 0.2 percent; South Central, 5.7 percent; Mountain, 5.8 percent; West North Central, 15.8 percent; and East North Central. The one declining region was Pacific, down 11.2 percent.
