Golf rounds jumped 19.7 percent in July, continuing the recovery following the reopening of golf courses across the country starting in May, according to Golf Datatech. For the year-to-date period, rounds played are now ahead 3.0 percent.
The overall July gain builds on increases of 13.9 percent in June and 6.2 percent in May.
Among regions in July, the strongest gain was the Mid-Atlantic, climbing 26.9 percent; followed by South Central and Pacific, both up 21.5 percent; South Atlantic, 20.7 percent; New England, 19.2 percent; West North Central, 17.7 percent; and Mountain, 17.4 percent.
