According to Golf Datatech, golf rounds played in May declined 6.3 percent.
Regional declines were seen in the Mid Atlantic, 15.0 percent; East North Central, 13.2 percent; New England, 12.4 percent; West North Central, 4.1 percent; Pacific, 4.1 percent; Mountain, 1.5 percent; and South Atlantic, 0.6 percent.
The one region showing gains was South Central, up 1.3 percent.
For the year-to-date period, rounds played were down 4.2 percent.
