According to Golf Datatech National Rounds Played Report, rounds on a national level were up 4.1 percent in December 2017 compared to December 2016. Total year 2017 compared to 2016 rounds were down 2.7 percent.
By region, gains in December were seen in the Pacific, 16.2 percent; Mountain, 14.2 percent; West North Central, 100.7 percent and East North Central, 127.2 percent. Declines south Centra, 7.7 percent; South Atlantic, 4.6 percent; Mid Atlantic, 15.3 percent and New England, 25.2 percent.
