Golf rounds played in the U.S. jumped 81.4 percent for the month of April, according to Golf Datatech. For the year-to-date period, rounds are ahead 43.8 percent.
All regions showed growth in April. The highest growth was seen in the Mid-Atlantic, 328.5 percent; followed by Pacific, up 197.9 percent; East North Central, 160.4 percent; New England, 117.7 percent; South Central, 46.1 percent; West North Central, 43.2 percent; South Atlantic, 40.1 percent; and Mountain, 33.6 percent.
Golf play recovered strongly following the reopening of golf courses across the country starting in May 2020. Golf rounds played grew 13.9 percent in total for 2020.
