According to Golf Datatech, golf rounds played on a national level were down 7.7 percent in November 2014 compared to November 2013. Year-to-date golf rounds were down 1.8 percent.

Public access play in November was down 8.5 percent and private course activity was down 5.4 percent.

By region, the biggest decline came in East North Central, down 27.3 percent; West North Central, 26.4 percent; and New England, 19.7 percent. Also showing declines were the Mid Atlantic region, off 8.9 percent; South Central, 7.5 percent; South Atlantic, 5.3 percent; Mountain, 4.2 percent; and Pacific, 2.0 percent.

There were 3490 contributing golf courses used in this report.
