Globe International Ltd., a major supplier to the skate channel, reported sales grew 32 percent in its year ended June 30, to Australian $137.7 million ($98.2 mm).

The Australian-based company's proprietary brands include Globe, Gallaz, Dwindle, Enjoi, Blind, Almost, Cliché, Darkstar, Tensor, Speed Demons, Dusters and FXD. Licensed brands include Stussy and Vision Streetwear. Globe also has distribution agreements for 4Front and Hardcore.

EBITDA reached AUS$6.2 million ($4.4 mm), up from AUS$1.7 million, excluding significant items, a year ago. Net profits after taxes reached AUS$3.7 million ($2.6 mm), up from AUS$500,000 excluding significant items a year ago.

The standouts from a regional perspective were Australia and Europe, with currency-neutral revenue growth of 33 percent and 46 percent, respectively. In Australia, revenue growth for the year came from all divisions, including Globe, Hardcore, 4Front and the company’s proprietary workwear brand, FXD. In Europe, the Globe brand continued to grow across all categories of footwear, apparel and skate hardgoods, including decks, wheels, trucks and more.

In the North America region, sales grew 14 percent, led by Dwindle skate hardgoods, Globe apparel and the addition of new brands. Dwindle, based in El Segundo, CA, and the U.S. distributors of Almost, Enjoi, Blind, Cliché, Darkstar, Tensor and Dusters, benefited from a restructuring that stabilized the business.
