Elvisridge Capital, based in Beachwood, OH, has acquired Glacier Outdoor, Inc. doing business as Glacier Glove. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Glacier Glove, based in Reno, NV manufactures gloves and apparel for the fishing and hunting industries. Glacier joins Elvisridge Capital’s other fishing-related brands, including Blackfin Rods and BBS (FINS Fishing), a fishing line manufacturer.

“Glacier fits well with our existing portfolio companies in this space,” said Michael Southard, managing director, Elvisridge Capital. “Our strategy will be to continue to add distribution points, as well as increase the speed and quantity of product development.”

Harvey Miller, currently general manager at Glacier Glove, will continue in this role and report to Bill Bolton, VP of fishing products at Elvisridge Capital.

Established in 1982, Glacier Glove provides warmth, dexterity and protection to make the outdoor experience more comfortable for fishermen, hunters, paddlers, cyclists, ice climbers, hikers, and other outdoor adventurers. The company also manufactures hats, sun hoods and other sun protection products.
