Giro Sport Design, a producer of cycling and snow head protection and snowsports optics, will host The Poacher’s Pipe Afterhours Session at Mammoth Mountain.

The Poacher’s Pipe is a new concept where riders are invited to “poach” a pro-team photoshoot set-up built exclusively for Giro. This pipe’s set-up features a huge tombstone hip, double quarter pipe walls and added vert extension elements influenced by the Giro team and retro California skate culture.

The event kicks off Saturday, May 27. Riders can head up the Panorama Gondola to Mammoth’s Summit at 2:30 p.m. to shred the private pro-level, Giro Team set-up on the backside (Chair 14). At 3:30 p.m. the session of all sessions will go down with riders showcasing their skill until dark. Giro will be shooting the event, along with top snowboard photographers and videographers.

During the day, Giro will host a launch party and Afterhours Session rider sign-up on the Tusk Bar Sundeck at Main Lodge. Sign-ups are limited to 75 riders only and will be limited to experienced, expert level terrain park skiers and riders only.

“The Poacher’s Pipe will have a session format – riders will push each other to get creative and have fun with no pressure – allowing them focus on style and creative combos while poaching the setup,” Giro Snow Senior Brand Manager Brendan Murphey said. “Come poach!”
