Emphasizing the increased importance and expanded commitment to the apparel business at G.I. Joe's, Norm Daniels, President and CEO of G.I. Joe's Sports and Auto Stores, announced three Apparel Merchandising Positions.

Susan Kara named Apparel Buyer for Athletic Clothing and Workwear.

Susan's previous experience includes a seventeen-year career with Nike, Beaverton, Oregon, where she was a Key Account Sales Manager, and more recently in the financial services industry. Susan grew up in Eugene and attended the University of Oregon from 1975 to 1979.

Krista Holman promoted to Merchandiser for Athletics, Workwear and Hunting Apparel.

Krista joined G.I. Joe's in June 2001 and has held several positions, most recently directing the remodel of the company's stores. Previously she was a Sales Manager at Puyallup. Krista is a native of Stillwater, MT and holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Montana.

Lori Strait promoted to Merchandiser for Sportswear and Athletic Apparel

Previous to her promotion, Lori was a Sales Manager at the Beaverton, OR store. Lori joined G.I. Joe's in August 2004. Before moving to apparel, Lori was the Sales Manager for Footwear. Lori's background includes communications and counseling.


Daniels added, “The famous apparel brands we sell at Joe's expect high quality in-store presentation and excellent merchandising. As we continue to add more and more top line brands, such as Marmot and Mountain Hardware this fall, the addition of these three experienced and talented people to our apparel merchandising team ensures that Joe's will continue to have the best brands sold in the best way for the customer.”
