General RV Center, the largest family-owned RV dealer in the U.S., held a groundbreaking ceremony for its 15th supercenter store in South Weber, UT, its second general RV store in the state.

“We came to the valley in 2009, and our business has continued to grow over the years,” said General RV President Loren Baidas at the ceremony on June 30. “We’ve always talked about what the next step was, and we dreamed of adding a second store to Utah. We were diligent to find a great piece of property and a great city to work with. We’re very excited about the expansion here in South Weber, UT.”

The 65,000-square-foot supercenter will include 30 service bays, a body shop and able to showcase 450 RVs. The South Weber store will employ roughly 110 people from the local community.

General RV Center owns and operates 14 supercenters across seven states—Michigan, Florida, Utah, Illinois, Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The company opened its first Utah center in Draper in 2009.

“We are excited to expand General RV to more Utah communities,” said Robert Jensen, managing partner of General RV’s Draper location. “It feels like coming home. After getting my start in the RV business with my father at Blaine Jensen & Sons RV, I am excited and proud to return to my roots and continue to bring General RV’s family-business values to northern Utah.”

The South Weber supercenter will open in the fall of 2024.
