Local retailer Gearhead Outfitters has partnered with The North Face for a Buy One Give One (BOGO) coat campaign.
For every child’s coat purchased from November 1 – December 15, Gearhead will donate a coat from their store to a child in need.
“There are hundreds of thousands who struggle every year to find basic necessities like food, shelter and clothing,” said Whitney Eldridge, director of marketing, Gearhead Outfitters. “One out of every five children is actually living in poverty. This is one small opportunity for us to give back and provide warm coats for hundreds of children in need this holiday season … We are also so grateful to The North Face for partnering with us on this campaign.”
With nine locations in Arkansas, Missouri and Louisiana, Gearhead plans to donate more than 350 coats to One Warm Coat, a national organization founded in 1992.
