GEAR For Sports‚ has named David Santana vice president of
sourcing. In his new role, Santana will be responsible for all overseas GEAR offices including Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Honduras, Guatemala, Peru and Colombia. Additionally, Santana will supervise the knits, wovens and technical services departments at GEAR’s headquarters. Santana’s role also encompasses all sourcing functions related to the family of GEAR for Sports’ brands, including GEAR for Sports, Sun ice, Champion and Robert Trent Jones.

“I was very impressed with GEAR’s versatile product mix and the complexity of
each brand’s line,” said Santana. “I knew that this position, and its challenge of
versatility, was the perfect fit for me.” Santana brings over 37 years of industry
experience to GEAR. Most recently, Santana was the vice president of
manufacturing/sourcing for Westport Supply Company and Fairway & Greene, a position
he held for over nineteen years.
