GCI Outdoor announced the addition of Stephen Ciccarelli, Evelyn Tan and Paul Crotty to their growing team. The trio will be filling the roles of director of product development, product development engineer and industrial designer, respectively.

All three bring a wealth of creativity and experience to their new roles and will be integral in creating the next generation of camp, beach and outdoor chairs and accessories as GCI prepares for continued growth through 2017 and beyond.

“We are thrilled to have all three join our growing GCI team and we look forward to leveraging their exceptional skills to help invent the future of outdoor comfort and convenience,” stated Dan Grace, co-president at GCI Outdoor. “With diverse backgrounds in engineering and design, this trio will bring innovative ideas and add new dimensions to our product offering.”

With a background in a variety of markets including outdoor, consumer electronics, toys, stationery, medical devices and office furniture, Ciccarelli will help to drive and continue GCI’s leadership in design and engineering innovation as the director of product development.

As product development engineer, Tan joins the development operations team as a direct liaison between GCI Outdoor’s sales team and the factory floor, expanding GCI’s custom product and rapid quote capabilities. Tan will also review and release production files to factory partners in support of research and development.

As industrial designer, Crotty’s primary role is new product development. Expanding on his furniture design background, Crotty will continue to bring new ideas and advanced consumer-friendly designs from ideation through production, making sure the quality and performance that GCI is known for gets to the end user.

The trio will get to work immediately at GCI’s headquarters in Higganum, CT.
