Global Brand Marketing, Inc., has promoted Tomo Nakamura tp Vice President of International Sales for Asia-Pacific. In this newly created position, Nakamura will be responsible for expanding all sales and development for all GBMI brands in the fast growing Asia-Pacific region.

“Tomo’s knowledge and vast sales experience in the Asia-Pacific market is a tremendous asset to GBMI,” said Killick Datta, Chief Executive Officer of Global Brand Marketing, Inc. “There are many opportunities to further grow GBMI brands in the Asia-Pacific region, most specifically China and India, and Tomo will play a crucial role in expediting GBMI’s strong growth in this key region.”

Nakamura joined GBMI two years ago and offers nearly twenty years of experience in international sales for leading footwear and apparel companies in the US and Japan. Prior to joining GBMI, Nakamura served as Vice President of Sales for Asia-Pacific for Wolverine Worldwide Inc, handling brands such as Merrell, Caterpillar, Harley Davidson, Hush Puppies and other major footwear brands. Nakamura has also held senior level positions in International Operations at Asahi Corporation and Brand Licensing and Overseas Business Management at Sanei International, both companies based in Japan.

Based out of the corporate offices in Santa Barbara, CA, Nakamura will report to John Bidegain, Senior Vice President of International Sales.
