Global Brand Marketing, Inc. has promoted Andrew Rate to Senior Vice President of Global Sourcing and Manufacturing. In his new position, Rate will oversee all aspects of sourcing, production, and quality control of footwear, apparel, and accessories in China, Vietnam, Macau, Taiwan, India, Italy, Spain, and in any other countries that GBMI decides to manufacture in the future.

Rate brings over thirty years of experience in development, manufacturing and sourcing within the casual and athletic footwear industry, and has spent the past fifteen years in Asia. Rate joined GBMI in September 2000 as Vice President of Far East Operations. Prior to joining GBMI, Rate was Vice President of Brand Footwear at Asco/Pentland Group, and has also held positions as Vice President of Manufacturing for Brooks Sport Inc., Ellesse USA Inc., and Reebok International Ltd.
Working out of the GBMI corporate offices in Taichung, Taiwan, and reporting to CEO Killick Datta, Rate will oversee and develop the sourcing strategy for each of GBMI's branded divisions.
