Garmont International Srl, the maker of performance footwear brand for mountaineering, hiking and other outdoor pursuits, announced that Wayne Edy has become a partner in the share capital of the company.
Edy has acquired 25 percent of the company share capital, joining the majority shareholder Prisma 2 s.r.l., headed by Pierangelo Bressan. Edy has had a long relationship with the brand as the distributor for the Garmont Tactical line in North America.
Edy has acquired the shares which were previously held by Veneto Sviluppo S.p.A., an investment firm. In 2014 Veneto Sviluppo S.p.A had joined Prisma 2 s.r.l. owned by Mr. Bressan to finance the global relaunch of the brand. Veneto Sviluppo S.p.A. now exits the share capital.

Garmont will debut its new Fall/Winter product line at the Outdoor Retailer Show in Denver, January 25-28.
