Gander Mountain announced today they are expanding their network of outdoor specialty stores with a new location in North Charleston, set to open later this year. It will be their first South Carolina store.
“Gander Mountain has long been a well-known and trusted name among those who love the outdoors, and who enjoy great traditions like hunting, fishing, hiking, boating and camping,” said Gander Mountain’s Chairman and CEO David Pratt. “We are thrilled to continue our national expansion with the announcement of our first South Carolina store, giving our friends in the Palmetto State new opportunities to experience our top-quality gear and knowledgeable service at great prices.”
The North Charleston store will be located in a redeveloped 40,000-square-foot space in the Promenade at Northwoods, just across Rivers Avenue from the Northwoods Mall. The store is expected to create up to 70 new jobs in the community.
