Gamo USA and Daisy Outdoor Products have announced the appointment of Wisconsin native Joe Syring as the new VP of sales for both companies. He will oversee and manage the entire sales system for both of these well-known airgun companies. Syring brings more than 15 years of outdoor industry sales experience to this important position within the two brands.

Syring attended the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, where he earned a degree in business administration. His outdoor industry experience includes stints in sales for Carbon Express, Crosman (now Velocity Outdoor) and Ozonics. He’s been married 24 years to his wife, Lynn, and they have three grown children. Joe, Lynn and his golden retriever, Miya, are in the process of relocating to Rogers, AR.

“Growing up in Wisconsin, hunting, fishing and shooting is just a way of life, and I love it. I shot my first BB gun when I was six, and yes, it was a Daisy,” he said. “I’ve been very fortunate to have spent so much of my life in the outdoors industry, and am tremendously excited to join Gamo USA and Daisy Outdoor Products. Who didn’t take their first shot with a Daisy?”

As VP of sales, Syring will report directly to Daisy/Gamo Global CEO Keith Higginbotham.

“Syring’s record of success speaks for itself,” Higginbotham said. “His experience and understanding of not only the outdoor industry, but the airgun industry specifically, gives him–and Gamo and Daisy–a new VP that slides smoothly into the role and allows us to continue to achieve success without missing a beat.”

Syring grew up in Neenah, WI, surrounded by great fishing and ample hunting opportunities. He still chases his passion of elk hunting each year. He’s optimistic about his new role within Gamo and Daisy.

“It’s an exciting time to be in the airgun business,” he said. “With more states making hunting with big bore PCP airguns legal, plus the advancements we’re making in high-power breakbarrels, the future looks very bright for the industry. Throw in the fact that to this day more youth take their first shots with a Daisy, and we service airgunners from the very start throughout a shooter’s entire life.”
