GameChanger, the youth sports app owned by Dick’s Sporting Goods, announced the release of scorekeeping capability for youth football, soccer, hockey, field hockey, lacrosse, rugby, and water polo.
Currently available for youth baseball, softball and basketball, GameChanger’s scorekeeping mode gives team staff members of these seven additional sports the ability to track key plays that happen during play. Families and fans can then follow youth games via live play-by-play when using the app. Using AI, GameChanger also combines its scorekeeping feature with live streaming to create a scoreboard overlay.
“As a parent myself, I know it’s not easy keeping track of all the sports my kids are involved in,” said Sameer Ahuja, president, GameChanger. “We understand how important it is for families to stay connected to their kid’s activities, and now they can do so across almost all team sports from anywhere.”
The app’s live streaming and team management technology covers over four million games and over 550,000 teams a year.
