Creativity + Sport
are in harmony for Emily Acosto and Gerard Lino, two young creatives living in L.A.

Puma—to promote two new colors of the Future soccer shoe Black Fizzy and Launch Fizzy—follows Emily, pictured here, and Gerard, pictured below, exploring their culture, lifestyle, careers and love for soccer in Kicks to the Pitch (KTTP).

This is the first installment of the two-part film series with Emily dishing about her ambitions as a photographer in the art and fashion scenes and her passion for soccer when she is not behind the camera.

My love for [soccer] came from when I was a child.
What soccer taught me translates to my photography.
It’s discipline, competitiveness. It’s my balance.
It’s like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Emily is as agile with the camera as she is with a soccer ball. A professional photographer and videographer for the past five years and a serious soccer player for the past 12, her keen eye and fast shooting style have helped her land projects with the likes of Unrtd.co, MAEKAN, Frankie Pheonix and American Threads to name a few.

KTTP
met up with Emily to talk about her passion for soccer and the impact the game has had on her life, including how it’s helped shape her career, stylistic approach, and ambitions. Listen to her conversation here and below.
