Freemotion, the commercial division of Icon Health & Fitness, announced the company’s continued focus on the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) market with the addition of seasoned fitness professional Gary Novak as EMEA sales director.
Novak will lead and grow the Freemotion EMEA business in both dealer and direct market channels.
“Freemotion is poised for accelerated growth in international markets with the addition of Gary Novak leading the team,” said Dan Toigo, senior vice president, ICON Health & Fitness and managing director, Freemotion. “Gary’s expertise will further immerse us into the market.”
Lars Schmidt, regional sales manager for Europe and South Africa, and Rene Cox, regional sales manager for Middle East, Southeast Asia and North Africa, will both report to Novak in their respective territories.
Before joining Freemotion, Novak worked with some well-known brands in the industry including Matrix and TRX, and founded his own company, Novak Health and Performance, specializing in personal and group training, as well as corporate wellness. He will be based out of the ICON Health & Fitness U.K. office.
