Freedom Group, Inc. has formed an Office of the Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic direction to the company’s operating management, to generally manage the business and affairs of the company, and to facilitate decision making pending the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, according to a recent release.
The Office of the Chief Executive Officer will be chaired by Robert L. Nardelli, who was also named a director of the company, effective immediately. Nardelli is currently the CEO of Cerberus Operating and Advisory Company, LLC.
John B. Blystone, chairman of the board of directors, commented, “We are very fortunate to have the benefit of Bob’s deep experience and counsel both as a director and as the Chairman of the Office of the Chief Executive. We are confident that, along with the other members of the Office, that Freedom Group will continue to have the benefit of outstanding leadership during this period of transition as we search for a permanent chief executive officer.”
Nardelli will be joined in the Office of the CEO by three company executives: Stephen P. Jackson, Jr., CFO and treasurer, E. Scott Blackwell, chief sales officer, and Joseph P. Gross, chief operating officer.
