Frasers Group, the parent of Sports Direct in the UK., plans to open a “megastore” at Leicester’s Fosse Park.
The 90,000-square-foot store will be split into two parts – Flannels and Sports Direct. Flannels will be launching a large concept store that will occupy 50,000 square feet while Sports Direct will occupy the remaining 40,000 square feet. The Sports Direct store will include streetwear concept USC, a new bike department by Evans and an e-sports gaming arena from Game.
The store is expected to open in 2021, cost over £15 million and create up to 200 jobs.

This announcement shows our commitment and confidence in our elevation strategy. Now more than ever, we must continue to push boundaries and innovate to stay relevant.”
James Keany, executive director, retail at CBRE, added: “This multi fascia site will transform physical retailing. This is another exciting new store that Frasers Group are creating which will open in 2021.”
