Frasers Group has acquired Australian luxury footwear and streetwear retailer Sneakerboy for an undisclosed amount.
Sneakerboy has four stores in Australia, three in Melbourne and one in Sydney.
Frasers Group will keep Sneakerboy staff and run the business. It will assume employee entitlements but will not take on any other liabilities of the original Sneakerboy business. The company also expressed interest in keeping the leases of its remaining stores.
Sneakerboy, which insolvency firm Hamilton Murphy has operated since it folded in July, is the latest buyer for Frasers, which has acquired Missguided, Studio Retail Group and ISawItFirst.com over the past year.
The acquisition comes as Frasers Group also looks to acquire Australian business, online flash sales site MySale.
Frasers Group owns Sports Direct, House of Fraser, Flannels, USC, Jack Wills, 18Montrose, Evans Cycles, Sofa.com, and Game.
