CamelBak Products announced four new hires to complement the company in the the outdoor recreation market. E. McDowell “Mac” Tillman was hired as Director of Product Marketing, Jonathan Austen as Category Manager: Outdoor, Thomas Andrews as Regional Sales Manager, and Stephanie Rapp as Promotions Manager. All four will support and leverage the company's brand recognition and strength to help promote sales growth.
As Director of Product Marketing, Tillman will develop and introduce superior, innovative products based on in-depth strategic planning and market research. He will lead his marketing team in integrated marketing efforts and all aspects of product launches. Tillman has joined CamelBak
after four years at The Timberland Company, where he managed the global marketing team, driving the company¹s marketing strategies and programs. Tillman has a BS with Merit in General Engineering from United States Naval
Academy, an MBA from Cornell University, Johnson Graduate School of Management, and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, qualified military skiing, mountaineering & cold weather survival instructor. Tillman also has
assisted the Outdoor Industry Association's development of consumer research, and is a member of the Board of Directors for Big City Mountaineers, providing backcountry mentoring for urban youth.
As CamelBak's Category Manager: Outdoor, Austen will be responsible for growing the company's outdoor category business through innovative product development, driving product launches, developing and implementing trade and
consumer promotional programs, and positioning the brand. Austen's 15 plus years of experience with Pearl Izumi Inc., The North Face and Reebok gives him a strong background in developing technical products for major brands. Austen brings this extensive and broad global product leadership and management expertise to CamelBak where he will develop the company's recreational offering of hydration systems. Austen has a BA in Geography
from Dartmouth College, and attended California State University Hayward in its Executive MBA program.
As CamelBak's newest Regional Sales Manager (East Coast), Andrews brings with him 15 years of sales and sales management experience in the recreational and outdoor sporting goods industries, including 8 years with
Bell Sports and another 5 years with Yakima/WaterMark. In his position at CamelBak, Andrews will leverage his existing relationships with the majority of Camelbak's sales agencies, as well as the company's core customer base. Andrews has a BS in Business Administration from Bryant College.
Rapp joins CamelBak as Promotions Manager where she will oversee all aspects of the company's strategic grassroot events, sponsorships, promotional events, retail clinic programs, and partnerships. Rapp brings with her 10
years of experience in sports and event marketing from Boeri USA Inc.,
Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI), VenusSports.com, and Clif Bar Inc. Rapp
will apply her experience as she works to position the CamelBak brand and
increase sales through new product marketing programs. Rapp has a BS in
Marketing from Providence College.
