Trevor Swangard, who was the former president and a co-owner of the Team Athletic Goods (TAG) buying group, passed away on June 27 at age 85.
Swangard was the TAG president and one of the majority owners when the group was purchased in early 2010 by Phil Rosati, Sr. Swangard returned to serve TAG as a company consultant.
TAG was started in 1979 as the first team sporting goods buying group in the industry, serving dealers in the Midwest.
Swangard, who was born September 4, 1939, also played three seasons of minor league baseball in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization from 1962 to 1964
Swangard is survived by his wife, Marianne; son, Dan; daughter, Jill; and granddaughter, Courtney.
