Los Angeles-based GMPC, a designer fashion accessories in the action sports, urban, outdoor and lifestyle industries, appointed former New Era Director of Global Accessories Joshua Cherin to the role of supply chain VP.
Cherin will be addressing the topic of 2020: Future Supply Chain at the Sourcing Summit with Magic in Las Vegas. He will discuss market conditions that are forcing changes in the men’s and women’s accessories supply chain strategy, including retail bankruptcies, regulatory changes in China and overall brand attitude toward the accessories category.
“Accessories embody a category with rapidly changing trends and huge growth opportunity. Given a rapidly changing regulatory and economic environment in China, and explosive trends in products such as socks and backpacks, which had historically been brand-dominated staples, I believe now more than ever companies can use supply chain partners for the accessories category. GMPC is the best in the business at accessories supply chain management, and we’re seeing many really exciting opportunities because of it,” said Cherin.
“We are very excited to add Josh Cherin to the GMPC team,” said Steve Wegner, principal with GMPC. “With his 20 years of experience in manufacturing and merchandising fashion accessories, he is a great asset to GMPC. “
