Killick Datta, Chief Executive Officer of Global Brand Marketing, Inc., has been named “Person of the Year” by Footwear News. GBMI was recognized by Footwear News as “Company of the Year” in 2002.

“Killick Datta has set an example of excellence for the rest of the footwear industry. Not only has he led the GBMI team to new heights with powerful product and marketing, he has also made important and lasting contributions to the community,” said Michael Atmore, editor in chief of Footwear News.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Le Parker Meridian Hotel on Monday, December 8th in conjunction with the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) tradeshow. The past recipients of this award have been Kenneth Cole and Stuart Weitzman.
