Flowfold has partnered with The Taku Agency and veteran sales rep Beaty Jackson to increase wholesale distribution of Flowfold products starting in 2018.
The 2018 agreement with Jackson, a 40-year veteran in the outdoor industry, will cover all of the east coast operations. They will be kicking off their new relationship and setting up meetings January 17-19th at EORA Show in Greenville, SC and in
Denver for Outdoor Retailer Winter Market January 25th – 28th.
Flowfold, which currently has over 120 active retail locations including key partnerships with L.L.Bean, REI, and Eastern Mountain Sports, hopes this relationship will increase their commitment to small and specialty outdoor
retailers on the East Coast.
“We’re rapidly growing,” James Morin, COO of Flowfold says, “and it became necessary for us to invest in domestic wholesale to ensure that our growth is sustainable.” He goes on to say, “It’s important to us that we have boots on the ground servicing these specialty outdoor retail shops. They continue to be the lifeblood of the outdoor industry.”
Beaty Jackson and The Taku Agency have been members of EORA since 2000 and also attends Grassroots Outdoor Alliance shows. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, they have built their business under a simple philosophy, “We build brands by selling the experience”. Beaty Jackson has always been drawn to the Flowfold story and is excited to spread that story within his East Coast territory.
“We’re all about the brand’s story,” Beaty says, “I’ve always found the Flowfold story to be a romantic one. Founded on an island in Maine, they’ve built a business on a foundation of Maine craftsmanship and ingenuity. I love that they started by selling wallets from their trunks of their cars and I love even more that they are still committed to the environment and domestic manufacturing.”
The Taku Agency also represents Good-To-Go, Stonewear Designs, Travelchair, Gearaid, The New Primal, Know Allergies, Skout Backcountry and Dex Shell.
