Flojos on Thursday announced that Jeff Booth has been appointed director of sales at the footwear company.

Booth, a former Top 5 surfer on the World Tour, has made a career in the action sports industry working for major market leading brands such as Sanuk, Billabong, Quiksilver and Oakley.

“I am very excited to have Jeff join the team at Flojos,” said John Dickinson, CEO of Flojos. “Jeff’s surfing background and extensive sales experience bring us a strong skill set with his understanding of footwear and apparel along with instant credibility in the specialty market. He really understands the business, and we feel he will be a great asset to Flojos.”

“Flojos is a perfect fit for me,” Booth said. “I grew up with the brand as a surf grom in the ’80s, and the brand is authentic, iconic and original. There is a ton of brand equity here. This laid-back, Baja, California, surf lifestyle vibe that Flojos is known for really resonates with me. How can you argue with their logo of a guy in a hammock under palm trees kicking back and relaxing after a hard day of play?

“Everyone knows Flojos and loves the brand which has enjoyed success over the years. Both the women’s and men’s product is stylish, comfortable and offers great value for both its customer base and end consumers. I am very excited to be a part of the team and contribute to the future success of the brand.”

Booth lives in Laguna Beach, CA, with his wife and two children and enjoys surfing with his kids as much as possible. His son Travis, 17, and daughter Tess, 15, are nationally ranked surfers and compete for the Laguna Beach High School surf team. And his wife, Melissa, a well-known designer in the surf industry, owns Pelt Inc., an apparel design and sourcing agency. The family is actively involved within the community and represents the beach culture.
