Flight Club Los Angeles has undergone extensive remodeling and reopened two years after COVID and civil unrest closed the location, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The store opened in 2016, closed in March 2020 and was looted in May 2020. Under the remodel, the walls are now concrete, steel and rebar.
“Flight Club has meant so much to the community,” Eddy Lu, co-founder and CEO of GOAT Group, the parent of Flight Club, told the Los Angeles Times. “We took elements of Los Angeles to say, ‘Let’s embrace where we are, the rugged freeways, the traffic, the concrete, etc., and put that into the store and just have that beautiful marriage of LA with sneakers and Fairfax,’ just to make a statement that we are back and better than before.”
