FlexIt, the mobile app that enables users to access gyms and only pay for the time they use, announces the addition of fitness industry leader Robbie Sprechman, CFO of Retro Fitness, to the company’s advisory board. Through his new position, Sprechman will help position FlexIt to scale. Coming from the club side, he will focus on product, operations and the general gym experience.

Sprechman has held a number of senior executive roles, including growing a consumer retail franchise operation to 32 locations in two years, and was the CFO and COO for a recycled retail and wholesale clothing and apparel redistribution. Sprechman has reimagined and reshaped the finance function in the sports industry and brings his knowledge of using advanced new technology to improve operations and financial efficiencies, as well as sales and marketing, to the FlexIt brand.

“Consumption preferences are changing, and FlexIt’s one-of-a-kind solution perfectly caters to those changes–delivering the best value to gyms and gym-goers alike,” said Sprechman. “FlexIt is essential to the changing fitness eco-system, and I’m thrilled to be part of the change.”

Featuring best-in-class technology, FlexIt allows gym-goers to sample clubs when and where they want in a frictionless and non-intimidating fashion and pay only for their time spent at the facility. FlexIt also acts as a powerful member acquisition tool for gym owners. FlexIt has an extensive network of large national club chain partners and is currently available for download in the App Store and Google Play.

“Bringing industry leaders like Robbie on board is huge for the future of FlexIt,” said Austin Cohen, CEO and founder of FlexIt. “His unmatched insight and guidance has proven–and will continue to prove–to be a vital asset, and we are only in the first inning. We are honored and excited to have the industry’s biggest names on our team and confirming our value proposition and committed to helping us to build out our supply and generate consumer awareness and demand.
