Fleet Feet will expand into a former Competitive Foot space in Oak Park, IL. The store will be operated by Fleet Feet Chicago, run by Dave Zimmer and his wife, Lisa.
The 1,800 square-foot storefront, located at 102 N. Marion St. in downtown Oak Park, is expected to reopen by the end of the year.
Fleet Feet Chicago operates four stores in the Chicago area, which
include shops in Old Town, Lincoln Square and South Loop, as well as a
location in Elmhurst.
Former Competitive Foot owners Tim and Tyna Eggert closed the store, which had been open for 37 years, in July, according to the Chicago Tribune. The couple, who retired, closed their flagship location at 814 Hillgrove Ave. in Western Springs, IL last year.
