After 16 successful years of hosting its Fjällräven Classic event in Europe, Swedish outdoor brand Fjällräven brings its popular community trekking event to North America.

Fjallraven Classic USA is a multi-day trek set near the brand’s North American headquarters in the Colorado Rockies. The three-day camping and hiking journey is designed to introduce participants to the beauty of Colorado’s wilderness while sharing outdoor experiences with others. Fjällräven Classic USA will take place from August 19 – 21, 2016 and is open to all levels of trekkers.

“In Sweden, the Fjallraven Classic draws participants from around the globe and we look forward to bringing that unique community building outdoor experience to our North American home base here in Colorado,” said Nathan Dopp, president of Fjällräven North America. “Fjällräven is a brand that loves to be outdoors and Classic perfectly captures our mission to spend time outside enjoying nature and building connections with those around us.”

Fjällräven Classic USA is a three-day event that includes a 20-mile trek and two nights camping under the stars. Setting off in small groups, participants can expect to hike six to seven miles each day under the guidance of Fjällräven Brand Ambassadors. These dedicated group leads will educate consumers on outdoor safety and the local environment.

Registration includes: access to the trek led by a Fjällräven Brand Ambassador; transportation to-and-from the trailhead from dedicated pick-up locations in Boulder, Denver and Fort Collins; food and water throughout the duration of the hike; carry along trash bag; Fjällräven Classic T-shirt, 20% online discount code for pre-event outfitting needs; and access to the closing party with entertainment and food provided by local executive chef Kyle Mendenhall. Attendees must provide all necessary apparel, equipment and tools for an overnight trekking adventure, including, but not limited to: a tent, sleeping bag, stove, layers and headlamp.

The registration fee for the inaugural Fjällräven Classic USA is $199.00 (plus processing fees). Registration will remain open until guest spaces are booked on the company’s registration site.

Each August, the Fjällräven Classic Sweden draws over 2,000 participants from 30 countries around the globe. Fjällräven Classic USA marks the first time the brand will host its trekking adventure outside of Europe. To further meet the interests of its fast growing consumer base worldwide, Fjällräven will also introduce a Classic Hong Kong event in 2017.
