Five Ten has established a new Action Sports Team. Steve Delacruz has been brought aboard to head the new division. He will concentrate on action sports marketing and future R& D projects. The first introduction in Five Ten's Action Sports line is the Impact, a down-hill mountain bike specific shoe. Some of the world's top riders, including Nathan Rennie and Sam Hill, are racing exclusively in Impacts.

Five Ten is also sponsoring U.S. downhill aces Curtis Keene and Mark Weir of Team WTB. In addition to being a favorite of the downhill and dirt jump crowds, Five Ten Impacts are also widely demanded by mountainboarders and BMX riders.

“I'm excited to partner with a company founded on 20 years of Stealth rubber and climbing shoe technology,” says Delacruz. “Adapting Stealth rubber to action sports gear couldn't be a more natural fit. And having the support of the world's best gravity riders doesn't hurt either.”

Five Ten is the exclusive footwear supplier for Santa Cruz Syndicate, MadCatz, and Curtis Keene at World Cup, NORBA and freeride comps worldwide. Previous to joining Five Ten, Delacruz worked as a research and development engineer for RockShox, GT Bicycles, and Oakley.
