Fischer Skis U.S. LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of privately-held Fischer Sports GmbH, has recently added two new resources to its in-house team.

Scott Ford was named director of business development, which is a new position in the company. Ford most recently served as the president of SSL (Sports Specialists LTD), and before that was the Hard Goods Buyer at Park City, UT-based Cole Sport.

“I couldn’t be more excited with the opportunity to join the Fischer team,” said Ford. “While learning about Fischer I was impressed with the talented and passionate people behind the brand and its categories. It’s no secret this is a new era for retailers and suppliers alike, and I am honored to be a part of the team moving the Fischer brand to the forefront in their category markets.”

Ryan Leach, president of Fischer Skis U.S., said, “Having worked across the table for over 11 years with Scott, his experience, ideas and passion for the ski industry will be an asset for Fischer, and we are thrilled to have Scott join the team.”

Another addition to the team in New Hampshire is Kristopher Kuchinski, who is a 20-year industry veteran formerly with Amer Sports Winter & Outdoor Company. Kuchinski will take on the role of credit and operations manager.

“It’s good to be back to what I call home – working with my retail family once again, and with another Premium Austrian brand no less. My passion has always been to deliver world class service to match the performance of the brand represented. I plan to continue that tradition at Fischer,” Kuchinski said.

In regards to Kuchinski, Leach said, “Kris brings a vast knowledge of our industry, paired with the respect within the dealer community which will move the Fischer U.S. organization forward.”

David Kuhman, former VP of finance, is no longer with the company.

Founded in 1924, the Austrian company is a single-source supplier in the fields of Alpine and Nordic skiing, and also specializes in hockey. Its headquarters are in Ried im Innkreis, Austria and production facilities are located in Ried im Innkreis and Mukachevo, Ukraine. The Fischer Group of companies also includes the subsidiary Löffler, also located in Ried im Innkreis.
