Fischer has appointed Mike Day as the new U.S. Alpine Race Director. Effective May 1st, Day will assume responsibilities of managing the Fischer U.S. alpine racing program, replacing former Director Tom Parks.

Day’s coaching career spans an impressive 15 years from his start as Men’s
FIS Coach at Carrabassett Valley Academy in Sugarloaf, Maine. Most
recently, Day held the position of Head J1 and JII Coach with the Park City
Ski Team, managing 35 athletes and 5 coaches. He also spent one season with
the US Ski Team as Assistant Men’s World Cup Technical Coach, covering the
World Cup circuit and the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympics.

Dave Auer, Fischer U.S. president said, “Fischer has long recognized the
importance of supporting racing and developing top athletes and Mike Day
knows what needs to be done to achieve Fischer’s goals. He brings an
extensive racing and coaching background to Fischer’s alpine U.S. race
program. We are excited to have Mike join our team, and feel his vast race
experience will solidify Fischer’s racing commitment and bring us to an even
higher level for the future.”

Day will re-locate with his wife and work out of the Fischer U.S. Concord,
N.H. office. Day will be supported in the field by Fischer’s Racing staff,
which includes Brian Sturgis as Western Race Service and Robbie Holland for
Eastern Race Service.
