Firearms Background Checks Climb in July

NICS firearm background checks totaled 1,600,832 during July versus $1,402,288 a year, according the FBI. That represents a gain of 14.2 percent.

The growth represents the third straight month of background checks. In June, checks reached 1,529,057 from 1,382,975 and in May, checks reached 1,580,980 against 1,485,259.
