Fenix Outdoor Head of Brands Business Tech and Deputy CTO Eefje Jacques was promoted to chief technology officer, effective April 1, 2024.
According to a company statement, Fenix Outdoor’s CIO, Jan Lindmark, will retire effective April 1 but remain working for the company as an external consultant. Lindmark joined the company in August 2022 and has reportedly led an overhaul of its Outdoor Tech department, “establishing a new and more business-oriented tech organization,” said Fenix.
Jacques has reportedly held multiple positions in Fenix’s Tech department since joining the company in 2019. Before arriving at Fenix Outdoor, she spent over 15 years in the tech industry, working for various consultancy firms. She has varied experience in tech strategy, IT management and software development.
Fenix said Jacques “has been essential in establishing and structuring the company’s current Fenix Tech department with Lindmark.”
“We wish Jan all the best in his retirement and thank him for all his contributions,” offered Alex Koska, president of Fenix Outdoor International AG. “Equally, we wish Eefje all the best in her new position and are happy that we have been able to promote internal talent to this position.”
