Wal-Mart Stores reported net sales for the four-week period ending November 28, 2003, of $21.657 billion, an increase of 11.2 percent over the $19.471 billion in the similar period in the prior year. Sales for the forty-three week period were $203.969 billion, an increase of 11.3 percent over $183.277 billion in the similar period in the prior year.

On May 23, 2003, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. completed the sale of McLane
Company, Inc. (“McLane”), then a wholly-owned subsidiary, to Berkshire
Hathaway Inc. The amounts disclosed above are from continuing operations and
exclude McLane sales for all periods presented.

The Wal-Mart division's sales for the four-week period were $14.764
billion, up 10.8 percent over sales of $13.326 billion in the similar period
in the prior year. The division's sales for forty-three weeks of $138.342
billion were up 10.6 percent over the $125.045 billion in the similar period
in the prior year.

SAM'S CLUB sales for the four-week period were $2.842 billion, up
7.4 percent over sales of $2.646 billion in the similar period in the prior
year. Club sales for the forty-three weeks of $27.822 billion were up 8.6
percent over the $25.625 billion in the similar period in the prior year.

The International division's sales for the four-week period were
$4.051 billion, up 15.8 percent over sales of $3.499 billion in the similar
period in the prior year. The division's sales for the forty-three weeks of
$37.805 billion were up 15.9 percent over the $32.607 billion in the similar
period in the prior year.

Comparable sales for the periods ending November 28, 2003, were as
