On August 2, 2010 the Florida Federal Court court refused Adams Arms’ request to bar Sig’s sales its pistol system AR rifle variant, the SIG516 Rifle, noting that Adams Arms is “not likely to succeed” in establishing its claims of patent infringement, and that Sig had raised a substantial question concerning whether Adams Arms’ patent is valid.
The court also concluded that it did not have the power to enjoin the Army from purchasing Sig’s products. The case was filed on January 15th, 2010.
