Federal Ammunition, owned by the Czechoslovak Group (CSG), was recently awarded contracts to supply several Canadian law enforcement organizations with handguns and rifle ammunition for training and duty purposes. As part of acquiring the former Vista Outdoor ammunition business (The Kinetic Group), CSG acquired Federal, including Remington, Speer and CCI, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSG.
These agreements will reportedly supply the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), Parks Canada (PC), Correctional Services Canada (CSC), and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) with up to 10 million rounds of 9mm training, 9mm duty handgun ammunition and .308 Winchester Rifle ammunition over five years.
